Wearing Bold Lipsticks

Wearing Bold Lipsticks

Let's have a quick chat about bold lipstick colours.

I hear many women commenting that they don't wear bold colours because they have small lips, or as they age their lips have shrunk. The other obstacle is that the colour bleeds up their lips. (I have a very easy solution to stop the colour bleeding, but I'll get to that later.)

I think the hardest thing we face every day is the critical perspective we have of ourselves.
But over time I've realised that my job is to ignore the first voice and listen to the second.
The second voice in my head is the one that can call bullshit to the first one. It's the one that can talk you into and out of something. It's either your coach or torturer.

And it takes conscious effort to callout the the voice, rather than just agree with it, but the more you call it out, the it easier it gets.

On an interesting note, I've recognised the critical voice gets louder when I am not honouring and looking after myself, doing the things I know are healthy and supportive of me. For example when I've stopped exercising regularly, or I've been eating unhealthy foods etc.. I've noticed the voice gets really loud, maybe this gives it more ammunition to throw at me 🤷.
Have you noticed this about your life?

So what does any of that have to do with wearing bold lipstick colours?

Stop worrying about the size of your lips. I have met women in their late 80s with little lips totally rocking the most brightest and vibrant lipstick you can imagine. And what matters is that they love it. They love wearing a bright vivid colour.
When you truly love wearing something, your inner light shines so bright that what ever you choose to wear, it just works.
Have you ever said (or thought) about someones outfit, "I couldn't wear that, but when they wear it it looks amazing."
That's because it's an expression of them and their inner light.

When someone really lovings wearing something, it creates a depth to the outfit that other people don't have, and this energy, I believe, breaks all the colour guide rules.

But if you don't quite have that level of confidence that ok, you can build it up. Below I've given you some bold colours to wear depending on your colour palette.

Does your lipstick bleed on your lips?
I have the solution for you. I have a clear lip liner that you can apply above the colour of your lips. The wax in the pencil fills in the crevices and stops the bleed transferring past you lip line.
You apply it just above where you would wear a lip liner.
Make sure you pull your skin tight and give the liner a good rub just above the where the colour of your lips finish and get all that wax in the crevices.
Then you apply your lip liner as normal followed with your lipstick.

Bring on the bold lipstick ladies!!!!
